» Kao Lio Lani

Kau Lio Lani is a non-profit educational organization formed in October 2003 in the State of Hawaii for the purpose of promoting equine welfare, an equine internship program, and eco-environment issues.

Our primary mission is to promote optimal equine health. This is facilitated through our educational program “Interactive Horsemanship™”, a “natural whole horse/whole rider” approach to the equine sciences. This trademarked philosophy will be shared with other equestrians through direct participation in clinics and a series of educational videos.

“Interactive Horsemanship™” is the core concept of our internship program. Interns can become certified in “Interactive Horsemanship™” after completing the comprehensive curriculum.

We offer the opportunity for interns to complete a work study program in the equine sciences while living at a specialty equine ranch, under direct supervision of our equine expert and certified trainer. Interns receive extensive instruction and riding time in addition to their ranch duties. They also have the opportunity to compete in local events.
