Horses In Hawaii™ clinics and lessons are conducted at the “Interactive Horsemanship™” Learning Center located at E Komo Mai Sport Horses, a specialty equestrian ranch that promotes a “natural” whole horse/whole rider approach to the equine sciences.
The ranch is situated in the rustic North Kohala coast on 30 acres at the northern tip of the Big Island of Hawaii. It has a spectacular ocean vistas, overlooking the channel with a view of the Haleakala volcano on nearby Maui.
You enter the ranch through a winding country road teaming with tropical flora and fauna including guava, citrus trees, gigantic palms and a profusion of native flowers and rare exotic birds.
It has fenced pastures for riding, jumping and various cross-country obstacles. These rolling pastures are surrounded by towering ironwood trees and bamboo as well as lush tropical foliage. There is a large indoor riding arena with a round pen. Horses are boarded in their natural outdoor environment.
We have a variety of well-trained, experienced horses, suitable beginner, intermediate and advanced riders. Many of the horses have been bred, born, and raised there. They represent a variety of breeds, including Thoroughbred, Morgan Cross-bred, Hanoverian, and Quarter Horse.
