trainer » Biography Nancy Steinecke. Expert clinician and equestrian. She is a full-time professional in the equine sciences and owner of a specialty ranch where she boards, breeds and trains. She is the primary instructor at the “Interactive HorsemanshipTM” Learning Center located on the ranch. Over 30 years of instructing and training interns, Nancy has developed the “Interactive HorsemanshipTM” approach, which incorporates a "natural whole horse/whole rider”philosophy as she works with her horses and teaches her interns. Nancy is a licensed Judge and Technical Delegate with USA Equestrian, USA National Equestrian Federation and the American Horse Shows Association in the fields of dressage and eventing. Nancy is also certified by the American Riding Instructors Association. She travels throughout the Hawaiian islands and the mainland to give clinics and to judge. Nancy and her interns compete successfully through Prix St. Georges Dressage, through Preliminary Levels in Eventing, as well as in Hunter, Jumper and Western competitions, and have garnered numerous championships throughout the years. Nancy and co-owner/facilatator, Trey Pierce, have also played competitive Low Goal Polo. Nancy holds a degree in Modern Languages from the University of Texas at Arlington, with graduate studies from the University of Hawai'i Manoa. She taught in those disciplines at middle school, high school, and university levels before turning to a full-time profession in equine sciences. |
